Celebrating the life of
David Bruce Bennett
December 27, 1951 - April 01, 2025

David Bruce Bennett, 73, of Midway died peacefully on April 1, 2025 at his home.
David was born on December 27, 1951 in Exeter, NH and was the son of Bruce and Cecile (LaBrecque) Bennett.
David grew up in Newfields, NH and attended Exeter High School. He joined the United States Marine Corp at the age of 17, and served faithfully and with honors for just over 20 years. He was an expert marksmen and served during both war time and peace. He rose through the ranks and retired as a Master Sergeant.
David spent his free time fishing, riding motorcycles, grilling and cooking the most fabulous food one could ever eat. He could be a bit controlling, but what Marine was not. To know him was to love him. He enjoyed spending time with his family when he could, his grandchildren and great grandchildren affectionately called him Papa. We will all miss his wonderful singing voice, his wisdom, and his resilience.
David was predeceased by his brothers, Michael and Harold Bennett; and his sisters, Sharon Edney and Susan Paul.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his children, Catherine Stirling and her husband Thomas of Georgia, Charles Roberts and his wife, Jennifer of Colorado, Christopher Bennett and his wife, Brenda of New Hampshire, Kathrine Douglas and Julie Bennett, both of New Hampshire; nine grandchildren, Alan and Ashley Falconer, David Joseph and Patricia Wallin, Savannah Roberts, Tasha and Vincent Courier, Conor Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Anthony and Breanna Bennett, Haley Douglas, and Caleb Reavis; three great grandchildren: Tori, Sophia, and Aiden; siblings: Marcia Lancaster and Tom Bennett, both of New Hampshire, and Steven Bennett of Massachussetts; his in-laws, Carol Scholl, Hank Ray, Mary and Brian Lindholm, and Billy and Marie Ray, all of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm on Saturday. April 12, 2025 followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
